Kiva

Christians are motivated by the words of Jesus to lend to those who need help.  

“Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” Mt 5:42 NIV  

KIVA is a responsible and transparent secular organization which allows relatively wealthy Westerners opportunity to assist 3rd-world entrepreneurs with “microloans.”  A number of lenders contribute small amounts (usually $25, through Paypal) toward a loan which is generally paid back in a year or two.  Borrowers may start a business, invest in merchandise, or improve their properties.  Repayment isn’t guaranteed and interest isn’t earned, but the amounts are small, and KIVA and its affiliated microlenders do all the work.  Repayments can be lent to new borrowers, or returned to your Paypal account.

Branches Band

Branches Band exists to serve and praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through our words, actions, and specifically our music. We aim to serve congregations by assisting in worship, serve fellow Christians by providing Christian concerts, and also serve our community by playing for a variety of public and private events and activities. www.branchesband.com
