Here is a heads up on some of the things that are coming up at The Point:
The series “Bedtime Stories” continues this weekend as Jesus brings us a story based on the Parable of the Sower. Sunday morning worship (Oct 18) will include Cantorei – a women’s choir from Wisconsin Lutheran High School! Welcome ladies thanks for glorifying God and beautifying our worship!
Also on the 18th, our Leadership Team will have a strategic meeting on next steps for us as a congregation and ministry. Please keep this team in your prayers both before and after the meeting.
We also have some families who could use your prayers in time of sorrow: Jessica and Melissa Strobel’s great grandmother passed away, as did Liz Heth’s grandfather. Also Diana Mount is recovering from surgery.
I would also ask you to celebrate in prayer the 90th anniversary of campus ministry at the Wisconsin Lutheran Chapel and Student Center in Madison!
The week of the 19th-25th, we will be entering our next to last week on our study of the Prodigal God. This study has been an amazing blessing from God in so many ways. Also, Mike and I will be doing chapel at WLC on the 22nd.
One other important thing: Our Food Drive will begin on Sunday, Oct. 25th and run through Nov. 8th. Thanks to Kelsey at UWM and Hannah at MU for all the work you have done so that we have an opportunity to extend our love and compassion to the people of our community.
Just an FYI: the $2 dinner on the 18th is hot roast beef sandwiches.
God’s blessings and I will see you in the living room,
